The total capacity of the refrigerator is 295 litres. The refrigerator compartment holds 209 litres while the bottom-mounted storage freezer provides 89 litres. It is not frost-free, and will need occasional manual defrosting to ensure optimal performance. The drawer for chilled drinks is a nice feature, and there's plenty of room in the crisper drawer for fresh veg and fruit.
We tested the refrigerator for energy efficiency, and it delivered an A+ rating. This is the lowest energy efficiency rating we've ever tested and is a good outcome for a refrigerator of this price. The 42dB noise rating was good. It's still a bit more loud than the smaller models we tested, but much quieter than the older models that produced a lot more noise.
Swan has kept its design simple which is a benefit when it comes to ease-of-use. The fridge is equipped with an LED bulb light as well as a thermostat that rotates to regulate temperature. The temperature was stable. The middle and top shelves only differed by one or two degrees to each side of the mean and the salad drawer was at 2oC. We did notice that it was very hot in the back. This could be an issue if you live in a hotter room.

This is significantly quieter than models that were made 10 years ago, and much quieter than the majority of refrigerator freezers we've tested in our Best Buy chart.
Temperature stability was also good for a fridge like this. The top shelves, middle and bottom all maintained an average temperature within just a couple of degrees of the maximum figure. The temperature in the salad drawer varied from 5oC to just under freezing.
As with the SR11010, the fridge requires a few times of manual defrost but is classified as A+ for energy efficiency. This makes it the most energy-efficient fridge freezer on our Best Buy chart. It will help keep your energy costs at a minimum.
This is a great example of how Swan can provide stylish retro designs at very affordable cost. The SR11010 looks fantastic and comes in a broad spectrum of colors, ranging from the pastel blue we tested to more dramatic red and orange.
